Select Start Records
was started in the summer of 2007 by Matt Moffitt, recording under the name SBX 8000.His first release was a 7-inch record on New Electron Special Records, Select Start Records former name.
SBX 8000 uses Midines accompanied by analogue and digital hardware to create electronic music. His music is heavily influenced by a fast paced DJ style and the futuristic sounds of Juan Atkins, Yellow Magic Orchestra, Drexciya and the NES series of Mega Man sountracks.
Current projects include an upcoming SSR release under the alias Saturn One.
